God of Hope

A life without God is a life without hope. When we get saved, we are given the hope of eternal life and a new beginning in Christ. Hebrews 6:19 talks about hope being an anchor of the soul, something that makes us steadfast and sure. We have recently partnered with Lee Domangue and his ministry, Cyrus International, to bring hope to the victims of local human trafficking. The Hope House is a place where refugees of the sex trade business can come and find shelter and safety, physically and spiritually. At church we have been discussing God’s sanctuary, a place of honor and worship, but as we can see in the present day, the house of God is also a safe haven, a place where God sets the lonely in families, sets the prisoners free, and gives them great joy (Psalm 68:6)! How fitting is it that the church can be home and provide a home. Our current leadership class is having the opportunity to join forces with Cyrus International by cleaning up and fixing the Hope House, but you can also be a part of this outreach. This weekend we will be heading out to the Hope House to restore the property and its furnishings. If you would like to be involved in this amazing ministry, please contact Chuck Robb at chuckr@thechurchinstamant.org. God is always good – we serve Him because we love Him!
