Wednesday night’s Christmas Party and Vision Night was an incredible time of reflection on what Yahweh has accomplished using The Church. It was so powerful to watch this year’s recap video, discuss the direction of TC for 2014, and pray together. My daughter and soon-to-be mom led us in a song of prayer that recited the Our Father. It was so great to break bread and worship with family. You can actually watch the recap video on our Web site thechurch.fm. I am looking forward to all the ways we can honor in the new year!

This year’s Miracle Offering weekend was an incredible time of worship and reflection of where our hearts truly are. All 3 campuses including the children’s and student ministries participated in giving to the Lord. I praise God for a body of believers who are “all in”. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!

We had a great weekend with Lee, Doc Smith and I being able to go to Promise Keepers and see hundreds of men give their lives to Christ. Also, Pastor Gene Mills preached a great message at The Church in Livingston, and we baptized 25 more people at The Church in St. Amant and 26 more gave their hearts to Christ during the service. God is amazing indeed!!!!

We are so excited to see the chapel at the Ascension Parish jail 98% finished. Wardens Haul and Maxwell showed pastor Pitts and I around. It won’t be long until we see people praising God and lives being touch by God in this place. May The Lord bless our Sheriff and his team!

Don’t Forget God!

One of the best ways to show God that we haven’t forgotten him is to serve the forgotten. Every month at the St. Amant campus we invite the widows of our community to come to the church for lunch. We love to serve the widows so they know God is near to them! By sharing a meal with them, we learn their incredible stories of faith, and we are able to reach out to those who need faith. I believe it truly blesses God when we reach out to others – and honestly, it blesses us all the more!

Victory

God is truly accomplishing His will here at The Church. With so many victories lately we cannot deny that God is able! New campuses, full altars, families being restored, believers standing firm despite the wildfire of the world around them – these things bring me to my knees in awe and in gratitude. President of the Family Research Council, Tony Perkins, echoed these thoughts in his message on how to stand one’s ground by knowing God’s ways and also applying them. I want to thank him and Gene Mills, President of the Louisiana Family Forum, for coming out this weekend to celebrate all the wins from Father!

Mid-Week Services

We now have 4 mid-week services! On Wednesdays we have a 5:30pm and 7pm service at the St. Amant campus (TCS), and a 6:30pm service at the Donalsonville campus (TCD). On Thursdays we have a 6:30pm service at the Livingston campus (TCL). Also, on the last Wednesday and Thursday of the month at 6:30pm we have Real Men and B&D, our women’s service. It is so refreshing to spend time with each other and share a meal together and worship corporately. Last week it was a blessing to hear an incredible word from our presbyter and my good friend, Lee Domingue, and also to pray and send off the serve team that is heading to our campus in Swaziland. Let’s continue to be faithful to the mid-week services as we get recharged for the remainder of the week!
